Community and Economic Development Planner- SRPEDD, Taunton

The Community and Economic Development Planner is a technical co-lead on numerous plans, project management initiatives, zoning amendments, civic engagement efforts, and other deliverables. They will produce planning narratives, data and policy analysis, writing (both technical and creative), educational materials, project documentation, and other work, as needed. The Planner works with a diverse team of planners and designers to deliver high-quality work and manage a diverse portfolio of projects.

Under the supervision the Comprehensive Planning Manager, the Director of Economic Development, and Director of Housing and Community Development, the Community and Economic Development Planner applies his/her expertise, knowledge of permitting, zoning, and planning best practices, and familiarity with community and economic development to the work program of a growing RPA.

One of the following combinations of education and employment experience must be met in order to be considered for the position:
Education And Experience
BA/BS; MA/MS preferred; fields of study can include Urban Planning, Public Policy, Public Administration, or similar.
1-5 years of relevant experience; masters-level education may substitute for professional

Salary: $55,000 to $88,700
