Grants Administrator- Stonington, CT

Working under the supervision of the First Selectman, the Town of Stonington is seeking a driven, organized candidate for an exciting new position of Grants Administrator. This person will primarily be responsible for working across Town Departments to research and identify funding opportunities, apply for and administer the grant requirements for projects that will support ongoing and future work for the Town of Stonington.  This position will be a key contributor to the success of the Town’s capital improvement projects to maintain and improve the Town’s infrastructure, support and services, helping to ensure the Town’s resiliency for the future.

The education, experience and training required would generally be acquired with a Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Project Management, Public Administration, Political Science, Business, Communication, Nonprofit Management, Finance or a related field or relevant professional experience and 2 – 3 years’ experience in grant writing and administration. Strong organizational and project management skills as well as high level of independent research skills.  Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to establish and maintain effective and courteous working relationships with Town and public officials, Town departments and agencies, board and commission members, residents, and members of the general public.

This is a full-time union position with a salary range of $63,778 - $85,467, plus benefits for a 35-hour work week.
