Public Engagement and Communications Specialist- SRPEDD, Taunton

The Public Engagement and Communications Specialist enables the Comprehensive and Environmental Planning teams to work closely and collaboratively with our service communities, various stakeholders, underrepresented communities, and the public. They will lead proactive and frequent engagement and help a team of planners and designers deliver high-quality work and advance a diverse portfolio of projects.

One of the following combinations of education and employment experience must be met in order to be considered for the position:
Education And Experience
BA/BS in Communications, Marketing, Urban Planning, Public Policy, or similar.
1-2 years of relevant experience. 

Salary: $50,000 to $82,400

Benefits: Massachusetts State Benefits (GIC), matching deferred income contributions, mileage reimbursement, education benefits, flexible hybrid in-person/remote work schedule, and PTO.

SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Comprehensive Planning Manager, with tasks to be completed for the Environmental Planning Manager and departmental directors, the Public Engagement and Communications Specialist supports a diverse team of planners and designers through inclusive, proactive civic engagement.
